Terms & Conditions

1. The hirer shall pay a non refundable deposit of £20.00 to secure the booking, such deposit to be refundable only in the event of cancellation by the Association.

2. The hirer shall pay the balance of the hire charge at least 28 days before the date of hire or, in the case of a shorter period between booking and hire, on the date agreed by the Association. In the event of cancellation by The hirer the cost of hire less the deposit will only be refunded at the discretion of the Association and only if the Association has secured a replacement hire.

3. Smoking, including the use of electronic and similar smoking aids is not permitted on the premises and The hirer will ensure that this policy is observed.

4. The hirer is responsible for the behaviour and safety of all persons participating in this hire and in particular for the control and supervision of any children.

5. The hirer should recognise that the building may be occupied by other people at the time of hire and that certain facilities, particularly toilets, may be shared. The hirer should take appropriate steps to safeguard children and any vulnerable adults.

6. The hirer will not discriminate on any grounds and will observe the principles of the Association’s Equality & Diversity Policy details of which are available from the Administration Office.

7. The hirer will observe the Health & Safety Policy of the Association, details of which are available in the Administration Office, and in particular be aware of evacuation procedures in the event of fire.

8. The hirer shall advise the Association if use of kitchen facilities is required and, if so, ensure the facilities are used safely and left in a clean and tidy condition. Any use of entertainers, discos, caterers etc will be a matter for contractual agreement by the hirer who must ensure such suppliers are properly insured. Smoke machines cannot be used at any time

9. The hirer shall not sub-let the premises nor allow any activity to take place which is unlawful.

10. The hirer shall not allow any alcohol to be brought onto the premises for consumption without the express permission of the Association.

11. The hirer shall draw to the Association’s attention any damage caused during the period of hire and of any accidents or injuries during the hire. The hirer indemnifies the Association in respect of any costs in this respect.

12. On conclusion of each hire The hirer will remove all rubbish from the premises.
